Experimenting a new painting effect

Hi all,

I'm currently testing a new algorithm which seems rather promising, especially when used in conjunction with the "Painting Type 2" effect.

Here's is an example output (click on image to view in original size) :

Very nice.

One small comment tho - the horizontal of the canvas effect seems a little too strong. Can you accentuate the vertical weave a little too?

Thanks for your comment, Barry.

I will indeed fine tune the weave effect.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to use your program! But I have a Mac. Any chance you'll have a Mac version in the future (pretty please, with a cherry on top?)?

Hi Rachel,

Unfortunately there is no easy way for me to make FotoSketcher run on a Mac. The programming environment I use is called Turbo Delphi and it is PC only.

However, there are ways for you to use Windows applications on a Mac. You could try Parallels Desktop (http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/) or the promising Crossover (http://www.codeweavers.com/).

If you wish, you can also send me a couple of photos at contact@fotosketcher.com and I'll turn them into paintings for you.

Best regards,

David
